Hello dear English reading followers, once again we were short on time to translate our French writings. Hope you still enjoy reading us ;-).
We leave Agnès and Albert, who hosted us in Berlin and greatly participated in turning our stay in a nice moment !

Agnès, Albert, thank you ! |
Now back on saddle, toward Leipzig, helped by Albert's pieces of advices. In fact, we thought about taking the train directly to Francfurt, but we were quite disappointed to learn that there wasn't any bike slot left in every train, and for several days.
That's why we ride to the west and the south, passing by several nice castles : Bellevue, Charlottenburg, Sanssouci (of which we unfortunately couldn't see that much).
Looking like a german speciality, a lot (if not all) of the technical boxes in the streets are painted in nice or funny ways !
We stop in an unexpected camping, with an unexpected wifi signal available. And don't think Vincent is the most hooked on internet of us...
After a good night and a last internet chek, we're gone for a long ride in the german countryside : woods, villages, fields, some churches and a bike road that could have been better signed. Regarding the sky, we stop shortly several times to let the rain showers stop.
We'll remember from our time in Martin Luther's city a lot more from our diner in the restaurant than from the lovely historic center. The Portuguese and French speaking waiter was very helpful in translating the menu so that we avoided the usual "random and dangerous" choice !
Our stomachs full, we still have to go back on saddle, and without any midnight sunlight to light us this time ! We make it to the camping just in time for checking-in, and getting the prized shower coins !
We pitch our tent in an overcrowded and not that quiet "zeltplatz"...
With nothing to eat, we have our german breakfast in the camping's restaurant. Quite special for our french palate but very nourishing, especially with a heavy rain shower forcing us to digest !
But we have to deal with the wind, always a headwind, the trails in the woods, full of sand and slow, and on the indicated mileage that were simply misleading.
Our bad looking day could have been even worse as a big storm barely avoided us.

Here we are in Leipzig with a clear dusk light, completely worn out, looking for a train to Francfurt ... that we'll book for two days later, allowing us one resting (and visiting) day.
