Water, air, gum, what a day !
So we leave this small camping a bit late, taking our time to dry and pack everything. It's already hot and clammy.
Ok, we admit we went to the Macdonald for the wifi... we had to feed the blog that was starving !
By the time we buy some food, the sky has turned really grey and darkEt quand on en ressort pour aller faire des courses, c'est sous un ciel gris sombre du plus mauvais augure. A german old man starts tchating with Vincent in english, people engage a talk with you very easily here, that is very friendly !
Shopping done - and right in the afternoon - we start riding but can just make it to bridge's underneath before a dense and heavy rain.
So we wait...
In the end it's getting to a small drizzle, fair enough to ride but not enough to go without raingear.
Then, just at a random intersection, we hear a loud "POUM!!!", and Vincent's saddle falls down by an inch. Sheltered again under a bridge nearby, we notice that the tire was dead and torn up, leading the tube to explode.
Well, it's sathurday in Germany, we should be able to find easily a spare tire somewhere. Here is Vincent going with Vinciane's bike, looking adventurously for a piece of gum. And he's back with a new tire (lucky to find a close supermarket) !
Then we need the 15mm wrench to get the wheel out and change the tire. But we can't find it...
And here is Vincent, going again to the supermarket. And he's back with the single tool he could find (which works well in fact).
What happens next is plain simple but it's late and we pitch the tent on the wild side of a dyke, after a 20km long day...
Epilogue : we found the supposedly lost wrench in the very bottom of a bike bag. No comment.
