After a very nice sunset and a good sleep, we started our last preparation.

And the long awaited moment came, the real departure on our bike. Relatives were there to see by themselves (but we do not see this moment as so particular). Maybe later it will be reminded as an important milestone, but for now it is just a ride like another, slightly more loaded than usual and in an unknown region.

Northern french country unveils low hills, not fully flat. Sight can go so far, catching numerous bell towers rising above the far horizon.

We rode a greenway that could have been so nice without those annoying chicanes, getting us tired of getting out and on the bike every half kilometer.
We arrive at Guy and Françoise's home after this 54km day, they welcome us, our first day fatigue, sunburns and our bulky bike. We clearly lack training but the tandem is easy again to handle and drive. We still have to optimize seriously the way we store our stuff...
