We leave Oulu with a cloudy sky and go north through the quiet and excellent bike path network.
Stopping by a church, a young man comes spontenaously and start telling us the church's history. Thanks for the visit and the small organ play !
The bike road unfortunately, goes back on the highway. We roll on a "dedicated" 1m wide lane but still don't feel secure with all these trucks and cars.
So just before Simo, we follow the small path, in the forest. Silence at last...
The trail is quiet, badly signed, long, but gives us our first opportunity to see reindeers (alive) !
Tired, we stop at a camping close to everything : the river, the highway, the city and shops. It's rustic, but we have a toaster and dishes !
In the morning, mosquitos, already...
Small stop at Kemi, nicer than expected !
It's getting very hot, sunny and we are tired of this headwind. Our attempt to stop away from mosquitos was a failure : they were replaced by enormous flies !
