Mistral to the bridge of d'Avignon

Once again a nice day with the mistral blowing all the clouds.
But we start our day by searching for a new tyre and venturing in a commercial area.

Just gone from the shop with a new tyre hooked on Vinciane's bike bags, we stop for lunch in the small village of Viviers. Putting the new tyre provides some entertainment to the nearby restaurant's terrace.

Speaking of the village, although numerous building seem abandoned, the old centre is worth a visit !

Beck to our southward migration, surrounded by more and more Mediterranean landscapes, colors and smells.

We go by so many dams that we stop counting them and will soon do the same with all the nuclear buildings.

Following the Rhône, we switch every now and then between the two shores, each one being in a different county, with different biking infrastructures. Drôme and Vaucluse are doing better than Gard and Ardèche.

A bridge before reaching Pont-St-Esprit, we are thrown on the road for rush hour. Cycling is really a leisure activity here, completely unexpected on the road...

It's time to stop but where ? Calling the tourist office, we are directed to a campin "à la ferme" that will prove to be very comfortable. As a fact, we're the only campers and moreover, the farm is a winery !

Small technical mishap, our alcohol stove build in a can died from rust and heat constraints.
We'll just pick up another can somewhere to replace it.

The mistral is kind in stopping for the night so we sleep quite well, helped by a rosé pitcher.

We wake up in the vines and with the sun, so good !

For our last day before Avignon we are pushed by the mistral, once again. It's terrific, you just have to pretend pedalling to blow the average up !

We have so much time and few pressure that we still catch up on food & drinks for lunch.

Our minds barely freed for the Bordeaux mist, we're in Avignon. Here too, cycling makes you feel strange but there are few cars inside the historic area.

We take our time, roaming and loosing ourselves in small streets...

...before meeting Laurent, our 23rd warmshower on this trip. Nice evening in a restaurant on the Rhône's shore.

Tomorrow, no bike ! We'll wear our shoes a bit, blended in the tourists crowd ;-) .
