From now on, we are attacking the fjord's very heart... unless it's the fjord who's attacking us, given the road's aspect, hard to say.
We're however doing fine on the first part and manage to catch the ferry just on time before departure.
After, it's getting uphill for real ! The slope is steep, the road is very narrow and doesn't stop turning again and again.
We get what we wanted a week before : a hot weather and enjoy the long descent, drying our sweat.
Once again we go down all the way to sea level, but it's lunch time. The warm sun, a peeble beach slightly shaded by pines : we are on the mediterranean coast !
Going through Utne's orchards full of ripening cherries, we miss the ferry. Good news is there's another one, bad news we have to wait for almost 2 hours...
3 fishes in the fisherman's bag and 2 ice creams in our stomach later, we get on the boat, having a nice view on these great fjords.
After that, the road is much wider, flater and busier, with compulsory bike roads (the old ones) to avoid new tunnels.
We stop in Saebo, well tired after such a long ride !Tomorrow, we'll have to get on the mountain...
